Patt loves learning new building skills and putting to use handmade papers, wood, ceramics and metal in combinations to represent ideas and objects in our world. Only basic rules of construction and craftsmanship apply, with few boundaries. Vessels are Patt's favorite; she enjoys removing materials from their "usual" functions and melding them into something new. Each container is full of promise and unique possibilities.
Dan took art classes as an elective in high school and college because they provided him with an easy "A." Watercolors became an obsession after John Ayers, then head of the Art Department at Chico State, called Dan into the office to give him a pep talk on watercolors and photography. Dan has attended workshops offered by well-known watercolorists, which has strengthened his knowledge, skill and love of watercolor painting.
The origins of Didier's art lie in the countryside of Alsace-Lorraine, France, where as a young child he began envisioning the natural world in terms of geometric shapes and colors. During his career as a specialized auto body painter, Didier developed the techniques that would become the basis of his current artwork. Didier's unique style is called "reverse painting on glass" and utilizes car body acrylics in various combinations to bring the imagination to life.
Wayne has always loved nature and enjoys being out-of-doors. His work reflects his fascination with details found in the beautiful patterns, colors, lighting, textures and shapes found in nature. He generally takes close-ups of the "gems" found in nature in order to emphasize their intricacies. Every excursion provides him with glorious experiences in nature to discover, photograph and record for everyone's enjoyment.
