Redding City Council, Special Meeting

The meeting was called to order by Mayor McGeorge with the following Council Members present: P. Anderson, R. Anderson, Kehoe, Murray and McGeorge.

Also present were City Manager Warren and City Attorney Wingate.

CLOSED SESSION - re Existing Litigation, City-Owned Property, and Performance Evaluation
(L-100 & C-070-200 & A-050-050)
Mayor McGeorge stated that the City Council would be adjourning to closed session to discuss the following:

At the hour of 12:01 p.m., Mayor McGeorge adjourned the meeting to closed session.

At the hour of 1:28 p.m., Mayor McGeorge reconvened the meeting to regular session.

MOTION: Made by Council Member Murray, seconded by Council Member R. Anderson, to approve a settlement in the amount of $40,000 concerning the existing litigation with the Shasta-Butte Electrical Workers Pension Trust, Shasta County Superior Court Case No. 127794.
The Vote: Unanimous Ayes

Mayor McGeorge advised that it was the consensus of the City Council to increase the City Attorney's salary to $119,280 ($7,500 of which will be received as deferred compensation), retroactive to July 1, 1996.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, at the hour of 1:30 p.m., Mayor McGeorge declared the meeting adjourned.
