Welcome to the Building Division

The Building and Code Enforcement Division, led by Bill Nagel, consists of a staff of 15, including engineers, plans examiners, building inspectors, technicians and clerical staff as well as the Building Official who also serves as the Deputy Director of Development Services. The Division includes sections for Plan Checking, Building Inspection, and Code Enforcement. The Division strives not only to assure that buildings constructed in the City of Redding are structurally sound and safe for people to occupy, but also to see that the process is understandable, efficient, complete, and takes the least amount of time as reasonably possible.
