The Land Development section of the Engineering Division reviews development plans along with the Building and Planning Divisions. Land Development staff works closely with developers and their respective engineering firms. The goal is to provide quality improvements to enhance the community and reduce maintenance costs over the life cycle of the improvements constructed.
Public right of way development issues reviewed for consistency with City of Redding adopted standards and policies include but are not limited to:
- Conformance with adopted infrastructure master plans--Storm Water Drainage, Water, Wastewater, and Streets
- Traffic Control Devices
- Pedestrian Access
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance
- Right of Way Conformity
