Orthoimagery and Contour Data

Orthoimagery - Orthoimagery was taken March, 2010. The imagery is available in two resolutions: 1-foot pixel; and 6-inch pixel.

Image panels are approximately 6,000 feet by 4,000 feet, or about 0.80 square mile in coverage area. Image panels for 6-inch pixel resolution average 285MB per tile; and for 1 foot pixel average 75MB per tile.

Ortho imagery will be sold in whole image tiles only. If a project area spans 2 or more tiles, it is up to the purchaser to pay for those tiles at the full rate per tile, based on the resolution.

All image tiles are in TIFF format and include an associated TIFF World File. All orthoimagery is in California State Plane Zone I, NAD83, Feet.

Price per image tile:

• 6-inch pixel resolution -- $480 per tile
• 1-foot pixel resolution -- $360 per tile

Contour Data - Contour data is based on orthoimagery that was taken June, 2004. The contour data is 2-foot interval, and is based on an industry-standard specification of "90% of all samples are within 1-foot of true elevation."

Contour data is available in both AutoCAD DWG format (with lines at true elevation), or in ESRI SHP-file format with the elevation as an attribute. The average area of coverage for the contour tiles is 3.4 square miles. Not every tile is the same size.

All contour data is in California State Plane Zone I, NAD27, Feet.

Price per contour tile:

• AutoCAD DWG -- $360 per tile
• ESRI SHP -- $360 per tile
