(1) RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL - ABANDONMENT APPLICATION A-3-08, by the City of Redding, proposing to abandon the portion of Polk Street between Sutter Street and Geary Street to facilitate the permanent closure of that portion of the road. Environmental Determination: Negative Declaration. Staff Recommendation: Recommend adoption of the Negative Declaration and approval to the City Council. A-010-100 RECOMMENDED ADOPTION OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION AND APPROVAL TO THE CITY COUNCIL

(2) USE PERMIT UP-40-01, amendment request, by Shasta Baptist Church, to add to an existing church facility by constructing a 38-foot-tall, two-story, 40,540-square-foot auditorium; an 1,800-square-foot, 20-foot-tall maintenance building and fenced storage yard for church-owned vehicles; and for placement of fill material in the 100-year floodplain of Olney Creek to elevate the finished floor elevation of the proposed buildings. The property is located at 6600 Westside Road in an "RM-6" Residential Multiple Family District. Environmental Determination: Negative Declaration. Staff Recommendation: Adoption of the Negative Declaration and approval. L-010-390  CONTINUED TO A DATE UNCERTAIN

5. COMMISSION CONSIDERATION - Determination of General Plan Consistency for the North Shasta View Drive Extension Project and review of Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration for recommendation to the City Council. G-030 DETERMINED GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY AND RECOMMENDED ADOPTION OF THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL
