PUBLIC EDUCATION

Activities ranged from visits and tours of fire stations to job site fire and life safety presentations.   Additionally, the Department participates heavily in the Shasta County Fire Prevention Officers' Association in conducted public education demonstrations at 22 schools throughout the County.   These presentations are well received, with visits from Sparky the Fire Dog; the popular Smokey Bear; Pluggie the Talking Fire Hydrant; and Big Red, a fully operational fire engine dedicated to public education activities.
