Volunteer Appreciation Week

	In celebration of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, April 23-29 2006, the Volunteer Services hosted its annual Dinner on April 27th. The Sons of Italy restaurant was a great location in which to honor and recognize all our volunteers who freely give their time, assistance, and
support to improve our community. A wonderful Italian dinner was cooked by the "A team" and served by our own City of Redding staff. Everyone had the opportunity to socialize with new and long-time volunteers, and the chance to enjoy a wonderful meal.

This year it was a great success with delicious food, excellent company, and a fine recognition ceremony. Both Helen Klingler and Shirley Wood were honored for their 15 years of valuable service. Nearly 100 volunteers, staff and guests were able to attend this wonderful event.
