HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL

accepted Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm, by appointment only.
Pricing for this service is listed at the end of the table
following businesses are now accepting all types of household batteries
from Shasta County residents for recycling at no charge. NOTE:
This service is NOT available for business generated batteries or for
lead-acid (car, motorcycle, lawn mower) batteries.

Recycling Program for Household Batteries
of Redding residents can now recycle their used alkaline batteries in
their blue curbside recycling cart by placing them in special orange
ziplock bags that are available at several local businesses. DO NOT return the
filled bags to the business.
Bags are available at the following locations:
- Please seal the bags firmly.
- Do not overfill bags.
- Place INSIDE your blue curbside recycling
cart for collection.
- Do not place rechargeable or non-alkaline
batteries into the bags.
