In an effort to promote recycling, conserve tax dollars in Shasta County, and help promote a local public benefit, the City of Redding offers certain City surplus supplies to Shasta County government agencies and special districts, Shasta County public schools, Shasta County volunteer fire departments, and any 501(c)(3) charitable organization serving a public purpose in Shasta County. In order for an agency to have access to the City’s surplus, an Agency Application must be submitted to the City’s Purchasing Division to confirm eligibility. From time to time, the City of Redding sells surplus used equipment, material, and supplies to the public. The sale may be by bid, or by auction either conducted on-line through an on-line auction service called Public Surplus, or by an auctioneer company who holds the auction at their location. Items for sale by bid are listed on this web page as they may become available. For a list of available items on the on-line auction site, please see our on-line auction. Items are listed as they may become available. For auctions conducted by bid or by an auctioneer company, the auction date, time, and location will be listed on this web page when an bid or auction is scheduled. If you would like to have any of the documents listed below mailed to you, please E-mail the Purchasing Contact listed for that particular sale item: Binky Peer at bpeer@ci.redding.ca.us Giannine O'Connor at goconnor@ci.redding.ca.us Sue Bambino at sbambino@ci.redding.ca.us or Fax (530) 225-4434, or Phone (530)225-4135 and we will provide the documents to you per your request.
