STORM WATER QUALITY TRAINING OFFERED
JANUARY 24-26, 2012, at City of Redding's Community Room
In 2009, the State Water Quality Control Board issued a new National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Construction
General Permit that greatly expands the requirements for storm water management and monitoring on construction project sites over 1 acre. In addition,
specific training and certification is required for those who prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and those who implement the SWPPP
at the construction site. The SWPPPs must be prepared by a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) and they must be implemented under the supervision of a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP).
The City of Redding is partnering with local environmental planning firm ENPLAN to provide the training program
that will prepare you for taking the QSD/QSP certification exam. ENPLAN’s QSP/QSD training covers all aspects necessary to develop and implement a SWPPP
pursuant to State Water Resources Control Board requirements and criteria. The QSP/QSD course will be presented by ENPLAN storm water specialist and certified
CASQA trainer Mary Larsen. The courses will incorporate implementation videos, sample materials, and guest speakers from key State regulatory agencies. To sign up
for training and view the FAQ, just click on the link below. If you have any questions, you may also contact Mary Larsen or Brady Kennedy at 530-221-0440 or by email at stormwater@enplan.com.
