Airfield Pavement Preservation at Redding Municipal Airport
Airport Improvement Project AIP #3-06-0194-36
The Redding Municipal Airport received an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant administered by the Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to provide approximately 224,000 square yards of pavement preservation on Runways 16/34 and 12/30 and Taxiways D, D1A, D1B, C, E and H. This grant will provide funds to remove rubber from both runways, apply an asphalt rejuvenation process to runway and taxiway surfaces and repaint the runway and taxiway markings.
The City of Redding awarded Bid Schedule No. 4233, Airfield Pavement Preservation at Redding Municipal Airport, to Valley Slurry Seal Company on June 2, 2009.
