The City Treasurer's staff can assist you in the parking citation appeal process. 

You may complete the fillable Parking Citation Appeal Form by selecting the link below to submit the form by email, or you may obtain the form from the City Treasurer's Office at City Hall.  You may attach any photos, or other supporting documents, to the email.

Important message for MAC users:  you may have to view the pdf Appeal Form in Adobe Reader not MAC Preview in order to submit the form via email.  If you are still unable to submit the form via the "Submit Button," save the file and attach it to an email and send it to tgale@ci.redding.ca.us.

You have 21 calendar days from the issuance of a notice of parking violation or 14 calendar days from the mailing of a notice of delinquent parking violation to appeal the citation. You must return the completed appeal form to the City Treasurer's Office at 777 Cypress Avenue within 21 calendar days from the issuance of a notice of parking violation or 14 calendar days from the mailing of a notice of delinquent parking violation, or you waive your right to appeal the citation.   Defective meter claims must be made within 10 days of issuance of the citation.

Upon receipt of the completed appeal form, you will be notified by mail of the date and time of the hearing. You may appear in person at the hearing or submit your appeal details in writing.  The appeal hearing decision will be returned to you by mail.
