Assessment Districts

Improvements in many areas (such as roads, sidewalks, sewer, water systems, and storm drain facilities) have been financed through the issuance of special assessment district bonds.  Property owners repay these bonds through annual assessments added to their property tax bill for a specified length of time.

The City Treasurer's Office does not accept property tax payments.  Property tax payments should be paid to the Shasta County Treasurer/Tax Collector at 1450 Court Street, Redding, CA 96001.
